Chopsuey, Yummy!

I say I am no expert when it comes to cooking nor do I have culinary skills but at least when I crave for something I am able to satisfy my craving. I usually cook my own foods at home. I love veggies a lot. I do experiment throwing in some veggies into a frying pan and I am not afraid whether the food comes out good or not. If it the result is good then I am very happy, if not then what can I do? I hate tossing out foods so whether I like it or not, I must eat the bad food that I make. Anyway, it is part of my learning and it is one way of cooking food to perfection. 

One of the many dishes that I like is this chopsuey. Proudly say it tastes so delicious cooked in our own kitchen stove.  When I crave for something, I try to cook it right away to please my hungry stomach. 

........color chopsuey although it doesn't contain all the ingredients that a chopsuey should have but at least I got all the basic ingredients for me to call it YUMMYLICIOUS!

I Miss Her Already

If there are people that I left behind in the Philippines that I am going to miss, they are Papa, Alex and my little brother Adong. Inday Alex, the little sister despite of her being yelled at sometimes, she still showed respect to her big sister and give me that tight hug from time to time. The whole two months we were there, Alex was sleeping in the same bed with us just to make up the times her niece and big sister are near her for she knew full well, we are not gonna stay there for long.

Headache Go Away

I am so tired and have headache right now. Oh please, leave me alone, headache..I don't need you right now. I got tons of tasks to do! My Friday morning started out early. Went to my OB appointment at ten, saw my baby's sonogram for the first time. Everything seems well which I am glad to know. After seeing my OB, we went straight to grocery shopping, went home, dropped off the stuff and hurriedly hopped in the car for another appointment to Hurst to see a Gastroenterologist. We made all this trip without proper meals. I didn't have a chance to cook breakfast so we left the house all three of us with just warm morning drinks in our stomach. We've finally had our rice meal at 3:00 p.m. I was so starving that may have contributed to my headache! So darn pissed!

Our Brunch For Today

I think I cooked too much for today. There are only two of us here yet I prepared too much food for two or three people including the small fetus in my womb. Guess I will be eating these foods until tomorrow morning which I have no problem eating. I love them all and also this is also good for it saves me time in the kitchen. I cooked them all at once and next meal I will just be heating them! How easy and convenient.

Eating these kinds of foods is like being home in the Philippines. I eat exactly the same foods there. I am glad the Asian market isn't that far from where we live. When I crave for something Pinoy, I will have my husband drive me over there and buy Filipino veggies.

This Mongolian beef dish right here has become my favorite at P.F Chang's Chinese Bistro for its delicious and great tasting recipe. When we go there, we order a meal for two which includes starters, soups, main dish and a dessert. I would order for Mongolian Beef right away since it is just so pleasant to my taste buds. 

It is not always we go dine out but if ever we go to P.F Chang's I make sure that I'll take home some of this dish so I can still have some left to eat for the next meals. If only I know how to do it, I would cook myself this specific dish to contain my stomach.

I Missed The Sun

It's only 44 degrees Fahrenheit outside and guess what? It's gonna get warmer as we get to the afternoon so my plan is to take a walk outside with my little girl and the dog. The weather in our place has been good since yesterday, might as well take advantage of the sunny skies and pleasant temperature these days for we will never know it might suddenly change to being bitterly cold.

I missed the sun so much that I feel so alive when I am outside feeling the heat that penetrates into my skin. I would be so lucky if I'll be able to walk in the neighborhood today because this is one of the things I missed about being home in Texas. The nice landscapes, houses, nice pavement and etc that can only be seen around here. So later folks, you all have a nice Sunday and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL!

Three Beautiful Cakes

Three beautiful cakes during Jadyn's third birthday in the Philippines. I didn't expect this at all. I bought one from Goldilocks and my Auntie bought her one too the one which is pink in color and her NInang Cindy got her another one a day after her birthday so it totalled to 3 all in all. Well, you might think these are too much but hey nothing is too much in the Philippines. There are just too many mouths there ready to eat it all anytime. I would be so worried if we got all three in the USA and it will only me and my baby are going to eat all of it.

Tons Of Photos To Be Printed

I got tons of photos need to be uploaded in my online album as well as very important and memorable ones need to be printed. I don't know when can I have a chance of getting them all done especially printing of the photos so I can place them in our hardbound albums for keeps. There are just too many of them that it is so tiring scrolling one by one. It would take me forever which ones to choose and to be printed. Not having our own photo printer makes it difficult. I only order photo prints on Kodak online and for that I need to do it in one time to save the shipping fee. Looking at quality photo printers right now and they are priced reasonably. Getting one wouldn't be too bad, or is it? Ah whatever. My main concern right now is to save all these photos in a safe place so if ever my computer crashes, I still have copies of the photos I took during my vacation in the Philippines.

My Kind Of Soup

I survived a day eating just this soup in three meals. Why would I not survive if this is the kind of soup I grew up with? Honestly, I can live all my life with this kind of food and not needing anything else except dried fish and salted anchovy to pair with my grits. I am easy to please. So long I got my vegetable soup and rice or grits I am fine with that. I used my one remaining pack of frozen horse raddish leaves left in the freezer for months today to go with my jackfruit and okra in making a soup that made it delicious plus subak dried anchoy, payts nah!
