All She Can Eat

Jadyn is acting strange lately. She wouldn't eat rice unless she is starving. She is not like that before. All she can eat now is rice porridge or champorado as we call it. My husband knows I am feeding her the porridge and he insisted that there is nothing to it, that I should feed my Jadyn healthy foods. If he wants, he can feed her the right kind of foods... as for me...he cannot stop me from giving porridge to Jadyn as this is the only thing she can eat right now. I've no energy to argue with him, I just do whatever I can so Jadyn can have something in her belly. I tell you, she could go for hours not eating anything and that worries me. Giving her porridge is better than not having anything at all, right?

Missed Too Many Birthday Invitations

I missed too many birthday invitations just last month and this month as well. Most of the invitations are coming from other Filipina acquaintances. These women I met before have kids about the same age as my girl. The invitation I felt bad about declining to go was from someone who is very nice whose son turned two last month. She sent out several Boy Birthday Invitations to our circle of friends and I kind of feeling guilty for I was not able to attend the party. I was pregnant with Megan and having a big bulging belly traveling an hour just to get to the party is tiring so I declined her invitation. Another birthday party coming up this Sunday, this time a baby girl is going to celebrate her third birthday... still I cannot go for I haven't gotten my sleep that makes me feel exhausted during the day. Looks like another party I am going to miss again!

Big Appetite

My pre-pregnancy weight was 94 pounds then it went up to 124 pounds until I gave birth to my second baby girl. Now that she's out, my weight is down to 108.12 pounds which I am not worried. I am easy to lose weight if I want to. My target weight will be below 100 pounds but I cannot do the dieting just yet. I am breastfeeding my baby so I just have to put the dieting off until maybe she stops getting her nourishment from me. You know when you breastfeed your baby, you will have big appetite, you feel hungry from time to time and most all no matter what you eat you still feel like starving.

Friends Are Fun

One time in my life, me and a couple of friends passed by an adult store way back in the Philippines. At that time we didn't know much about adult store or adult toys and this store we happen to pass by had a Glass Dildo displayed right at the entrance but isn't visible to the street, we peeked into the glass door and we saw it. One friend commented or asked, what is that? Then other friend who was known to be the funny person in the group replied quickly, oh it's just a a big worm, don't mind it. Then we all laughed. Remembering those times with old friends bring back good memories I had with them... and I always treasure the sweet times we had together.

Purses And Women

Men don't understand why women have to have several purses in their possession. Even my husband asked me why do I need so many purses in my closet, why can't I just use one and buy a new one when it is no longer useful?

I hurled back the question at him, it is the same thing as men love collecting classic or sports car. The passion is just the same as women towards purses. I asked him and why do you love sports cars so much? Hmmmmmm... and when I did that, he understood why I am so into purses. 

Honestly, I don't have too many purses in my closet, I only own a few of them but I am picky when it comes to buying a new purse. My addiction is Dooney and Bourke. So far I only collected four pieces and I take pride of my D&Bs because the money I used to buy them came from my hardwork, my blogging money paid for them. One of the reasons why I like this brand is that they are made with high quality materials and if you are lucky enough, you can get a good deal in them on their site or at the mall. If I want another one, I don't have to pay the full price, all I do is wait for the price to go down a bit before buying.

Unlike Coach purses, I have never seen them being on SALE unless of course if you shop at an outlet store, you can find plenty of great sales there but for people like me who don't drive, all I could do is shop online and Coach is just way too expensive for me so I settled on Dooney and Bourke.

The Right Size, The Right Brand

I am an Asian by ethnicity towering a height of 5 ft. and 1 inch. I am naturally skinny and petite. When I first arrived here in America five years ago, I needed some new clothes that fit to the season. I arrived in Spring. Back then the temperature for me was chilly and cold for me since I came from a tropical country all year round.

I needed to shop for new clothes and when I went to the mall, I couldn't seem to find my size elsewhere so I ended up shopping at a children's store. Very Funny Pictures

I missed my little sister so much now. I can't wait for the weekend to come so that she could get online and chat with me. It has been a while since I've talked to her. If we still have an internet service in our home in Cebu, we could have chatted every weekend including the rest of my family. We used to do that often and now she rarely gets on the internet for the reason she has to pay for an hourly rate at a neighbor's computer.

I missed those times when we laugh together cam to cam and share really funny pictures that could really cracks her up. If I don't get to talk to her one of these days, I would be sulking and won't call the Philippines for a while. We will see if they don't get worried of me not calling them. I've done it once, for the whole five months since I left there they weren't able to hear anything from me so they got online and chatted with me asking why the silence? I just simply told them I didn't feel like calling them because I have my personal reason why and that they cannot force me to do things I don't want to do.

Good Food

One way of pleasing myself is eating good food. Good food to me means cooking my own food (home cooked meals) at home. This way I know what goes into my food and ensure it is clean. I don't like the idea someone else's hands messing with my food so I usually do my own cooking.

With that said, this is what I had this morning and dinner. A good pork chop, grits and fish soup made by yours truly. I am happy knowing that I can eat whatever I wanna eat (well, except for fresh seafoods) in this area for the Asian market is just 15 minutes drive away. Trust me when I say this porkchops I cooked this morning is so insanely delicious that makes you wanna ask for more. My technique is to leave some chops for my next meal, because they're too tasty to be eaten all at once.

I got up this morning hoping to have some online tasks to do but to my dismay the world of blogging was so quiet. When this happens, I get bored easy so I turned to Facebook and see what the latest updates of people in my list. Same old story, nothing much going on. Then I browsed on the internet more and I stumble upon this website that has really funny pictures and other jokes that could really crack someone up like me.

This is the kind of website everybody should go if they don't have something to do or spending lazy hours on the internet because it's really great to read jokes or see funny pictures everyday. Joe's Mistake

What was my husband thinking when he climbed that ladder? I yelled after him to get down but by then it was too late…Joe fell and broke one of his vertebrae and now he’s totally laid up for about 6 months until his back heals and he can go back to work. He’s been driving me crazy since I’m a stay at home mom and have to listen to him complain all day long and I even had to go to http://www.direc.tv to get TV for the house so he’d have something to do other than bug me all day! That seems to keep him occupied most of the day and don’t get me wrong, I love being able to spend more time with Joe and bond on a level we haven’t been able to in years. I hope he heals up soon, though, because he’s going to make me crazy here all day long and I’ve got things to do to keep this house in order every day!

When I Get Tired Eating Rice

I turn to eating pizza when I get tired of eating the same usual Filipino foods that I cook. It could be because of my pregnancy..... I sometimes found myself munching on pizza in the afternoon and make it as my dinner. Really this is not so me for I don't find pizza appetizing nor it is filling!

For most people, pizza is their favorite but not for me. I still prefer eating rice/grits over this but there are times I crave for it. Out of the whole big pie, I can only eat 2 slices of it (struggling to finish the second slice)...

Wondering How It's Like

Philippine Bread

Photo attached is snagged from someone's album on Facebook. I so missed these kind of breads displayed in their stall because these are the types that I don't know how to make or can't see them around here being sold in grocery stores. Looking at these breads remind me of my life back in the Philippines, every other afternoon we would buy bread at the bakeshop nearby and me and my siblings gathered together for a snack paired with cold orange juice or hot chocolate drink. Popular bread recipes in the afternoon are pan de coco, elorde, mushroom, francis (one of my faves) etc.

For us, if our mother would buy some bread, it will be a big treat to her kids. Wow I missed my simple life back home! Two pieces of small bread will bring so much joy to our hearts, we were young and innocent back then and so easy to please!

Definitely Need A New Printer

I got several pages of forms need to be printed out but I can't do that just yet since our printer is acting weird lately. It doesn't give us clear prints at all, many times my husband have tried printing out recipes from the internet but the output is just ridiculously dirty. We definitely need a new printer shall I say. A new printer needs new printers ink cartridges as well. Real Fresh Seashells

I feel so full right now but looking at this picture attached here I can't help but drool over it. These are the kind of shells I missed the most and I so want them so bad right now.

Great Deal On Dooney & Bourke

Who would have thought I could find such a great deal on Dooney and Bourke handbag and wallet online? For a purse this big with beautiful color and a matching wallet it would cost someone two hundred bucks or more if they were bought brand new online or from a retail store.

It was just pure luck I found these items on craigslist from a seller who didn't care making money by selling her authentic Dooneys on the internet. Her asking price for these pretty babies was $125 and she lives in Grand Prairie. I can't drive there too far for me to pick up the items so I told her I fell in love with her purse and wallet and really love to buy them if the asking price include the shipping. As I said, she didn't care making money on her purses so she agreed to me and shipped the items the following day I sent the payment. Nahulog noon $116 lang both purse and wallet minus the shipping!

What a deal, really! I have no regret I spent a little over hundred bucks on things I love the most, purses. The purse alone is very pretty. She advertised it as GENTLY USED but I see no sign of wear nor rips or stains on the item. It looks very new to me and I AM GRINNING EAR TO EAR RIGHT NOW! The wallet itself is pretty too but I am not so crazy with it, it's the D&B purse I am all about.

....... love the color of these babies, the style of the handbag what caught me and I knew I'm gonna love this thing the moment I laid my eyes on it.

........... hmmmm sexy! no doubt what I got is genuine D&B for it has a serial number in it inside, the lining is the same to my 3 other D&Bs and a logo outside...

........so spacious inside that it can carry baby stuff and five diapers when on the go...

Naturally Short And Petite

Filipinas are born to be naturally short and petite. We are a lot shorter compared to an average American woman. So when we want to get something that is beyond our reach, we need a sturdy step stool in order to give us extra reach we need to do things like changing a light bulb or get a little bit higher so that we can get to the top shelf of our closet, cabinets etc. If we don't have this needed tool, we can always ask someone who is taller but they are not always around to give us a hand. That is why keeping a step stool is a must for everyone who is shorty just like me, huh do you still consider a 5'1" woman shorty?
