She Looks Like Her Daddy

This is the first time we see a close up photo of Paloma since we found her on Facebook two years ago. I so wanted to add her up so that we could see pictures of her but she declined the request. She even told us that she'll wait until 18 before she makes any further communication with her dad as  it is her mom's wishes to introduce her and her sister Sofia to their daddy in person (shall we believe that? we doubt that...).

I think that is very unfair. There is a father here that has been longing to see, hug and feel the love of his kids but then when we found the kids on the internet that was she had to say. Anyhow, we will wait for that very day when Paloma and Sofia would just come see their dad on their own... someday when the time is right... 

Looking at the picture, you could see how Paloma really got the look of her daddy. The nose, the divided chin and the lips you can see those are all Sandy's. Even I, when I first saw this photo of hers, I couldn't believe how this girl look exactly the same as my husband. Too bad though they have not seen each other for over a decade....

Because I Deserved It

I worked hard this morning and a good lunch is what I deserve. I had fish tinuwa, a bit spicy with a little bit of lemon in it to make the flavor appealing to my taste buds. This of course paired with grits and Jadyn's leftover bacon this morning. I fed my growling stomach, cleaned my kitchen and now just waiting for half an hour so I can take my afternoon nap. I got sleepy after all those writing and eating I did. BURP, excuse me! Jadyn thought my soup was spicy but once she had a taste of it, she couldn't help but eat along with me. Now I am pretty sure she is full and will last for hours until I have a chance to feed her again.

Strange Of Him

I chatted a guy from the Philippines last night who happened to be my friend when I was in high school. It was so nice hearing from him again after all the years have passed. He told me that he's now a much different person than he used to be. In high school you would think that boys look cute, some aren't so attractive and this guy was just an average boy in school. My First Try... Not Bad!

I take pride in my cooking especially if it's my first time to cook or prepare certain dishes or desserts like this one. It's a leche flan dessert made with eggyolks, condensed milk and melted sugar.

Pregnant's Usual Craving

Eating raw and sour mango wasn't my thing before. But then when I got pregnant, this became my friend. School Someday

Although I am very happy with my life right now being a full time mom and wife, that doesn't mean I would stay or remain like this forever once the children are grown. Of course, I do have my own goals too but that I should set aside for the meantime for I have to take care of my family before that. I plan of enrolling myself in an online university someday. I think that will be a good start before really going into a local university in which I am required to mingle with people of different race. I always remember what the President said in the video during our oath for citizenship months ago "In America, no dream is impossible". That is what I put in my mind that whatever it is I am hoping to do in the future, I am going to succeed with determination and perseverance of course.

I Can Follow A Recipe

A few times I have tried cooking for special dishes following a recipe and I shall say I can definitely do it as long as there are proper measurements or list of all ingredients needed for a certain dish to be so tasting great. I usually cook Filipino foods at home but I seldom use a recipe, depends on the mood or the kind of dish I long to eat. I meant to share this delicious Chicken Afritada recipe to my readers days ago but I got pretty busy outside.

Home Lighting

Little did we know that it has been over a year ago since we moved into our own house. Just two things I would wish to be done soon is for the entire house to be painted and install some new and necessary lightings especially in the living room where I am sitting right because this part can get really dark during mid day when the sun is so bright outside.

My Lunch

I can't ask for a better and perfect lunch than this sauteed long yard beans with shrimp and pork slices. I got the taste so perfectly right,  trust me "makapangiyod kas kalami"! I had a big bowl of rice and this delicious beans right there that I find it hard to breathe afterwards.  Not only that, take note I also cooked some shrimp paste with pork which is shown below...

..shrimp fry with tomato, onion and pork! oh la la la!
