Mango Nutrition Facts

Mango Pictures, Images and Photos
My baby and I both love mangoes. I love the smooth sweet taste of the fruit that I can eat it everyday with no complain, so does my baby. I am glad she loves it for it contains a lot of nutrients that her body needs. I would not hesitate buying mango at the grocery store if it is available because aside from sweet goodness it gives us, it also is a good source of fiber which is exactly what my baby needs.

Read on below for the nutritional facts I got from the original source. This is just to share you all so you will love eating mango even more.

Mangos are an excellent source of vitamins A and C, and for those who are physically active, whether working out or constantly on the go, mangos are a great way to replenish that lost potassium.

An average sized mango can contain up to 40% of your daily fiber requirement. If you are eating your mango-a-day, irregularity is not a problem for you and so we'll spare the gruesome details regarding constipation, piles and spastic colon.

Research has shown that dietary fiber has a protective effect against degenerative diseases, especially with regards to the heart; may help prevent certain types of cancer, as well as lowering blood cholesterol levels.

Sunny

It is going to be our last day to be warm and sunny for this week. Tomorrow we'll be back to wearing jammies, socks and jackets inside the house for the cold front is coming. There some chance of snow according to the weather forecast and I don't like the idea of being cold again. Such a hassle for me for it is when the time my knuckles and soles cracked until it bleeds. I hope the coolness of temperature would only last for one day for we are planning of going to Dallas Arboretum this weekend. It would nice to go there with a beautiful weather so we can enjoy the pretty scenery of the garden. Anyways, sharing you a picture of me, Annie and our babies one sunny afternoon just so you can see how much sun we have been getting lately here in Texas.

... annie on the above picture at a mini park in EV..and below is of me and my Jadyn in the small pond around the block..

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone

Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a yearly holiday celebrated on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (circa AD 387–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. It began as a purely Catholic holiday and became an official feast day in the early 1600s. However, it has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Ireland's culture.

It is a public holiday on the island of Ireland (both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) and widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora in places such as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and Montserrat.

Homecooked Meals

I'm a great fan of cooking our meals at home. We don't go out to eat instead we cook our own meals the way we want it. This way we save ourselves from eating unhealthy fast foods and aside from that we save money by doing so.

I have no problem cooking our food at all. I know how to cook simple dishes you know so eating or dining out makes no sense to me. However, occasionally we go to a restaurant to celebrate special events in our lives but that's it. Eating outside can be expensive if you really want to eat real food.

........... I take pride in showing you guys what I'm capable of cooking... above is my fried chicken that Jadyn really love and my sotanghon soup for breakfast...

Offline

I had a blast with real people today at our house. It was a fun day for us, we ate a lot, lots of salty ginamos, native vegetable stew, pinakbet and buwad eh that filled our stomach. I am so glad I was able to get away from the internet for one whole day and just hang with people whom I comfortable to be with offline. The day had ended with lots of pure smiles on our faces and Shewi and I just couldn't had enough but she had to go home, her husband came to pick her up but I promised her that she can come back anytime she wants to and do the sing a-l-o-n-g together. Cool people in real world is what I prefer rather than online with dull colors. Thank God for them, they made my day.

That Phone Call

The very phone call that woke me up in my deep sleep this morning kind of pissed me. I was still in dreamland peacefully communicating with characters in there when suddenly the phone in my bedside table rang! I startled and got up suddenly only to find out that was from a no name caller.

I do hope that this number from chulalala who knows will call me back so I'll know who the caller was. Bad trip is my morning already here I am now still sleepy while doing this entry. SIGH! I can't go back to sleep though for I'm expecting my friend to come over any moment so I must stay awake.

Hotel-Motel Scam

I RECEIVED THIS FORWARDED MESSAGE IN MY EMAIL AND THOUGHT OF SHARING THIS HERE TO WARN PEOPLE. THIS HAS BEEN CIRCULATING AROUND THE INTERNET, I KNOW BUT LET ME SHARE THIS TO YOU ANYWAYS.

This is kinda scary if only because of how simple it is. Reading this, I could have been caught. I'll bet this works all too often.
You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. When checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for all the charges for your room). You get to your room and settle in. Someone calls the front desk and asked for (example) Room 620 (which happens to be your room).

Your phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following, 'This is the front desk". When checking in, we came cross a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side of your charge card.'
Not thinking anything you might give this person your information, since the call seems to come from the front desk. But actually, it is a scam of someone calling from outside the > hotel/front desk.
They ask for a random room number. Then, ask you for credit card information and address information. Sounding so professional that you do think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this problem on your vacation, tell the caller that you will be down at the front desk to clear up any problems. Then, go to the front desk and ask if there was a problem. If there was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone called to scam you of your credit card information acting like a front desk employee.

This was sent by someone who has been duped......and is still clearing up the mess..

This Aeropostale collared shirt just so cool. I like the color and the style itself. It is on sale right now for half a price. I like it green although I have several choices of color on Aero site. Depressing Weather

It has been raining since yesterday. I thought it was going to be sunny today but it got worse this day. So dark, kind of cool, windy and still raining. So depressing when we have a weather like this. I don't feel like doing anything inside the house too.

I got a basket full of dirty clothes waiting on me, floor to sweep and kitchen to clean. I haven't started any of these chores because I feeeel so lazy right now. All I wanna do is snuggle in bed all day, eat, computer and watch t.v. Does anyone out there wanna help me with my chores? Raise your right foot!

Red Bloom

The only color ( aside from green leaves and trees ) that can be seen in our backyard so far is this flowering tree that I don't know its name. Despite of the heavy snow couple of weeks ago that didn't stop this tree from blooming.

When I go out there, all I could notice first are these red flowers with plenty of bees lingering around. Jadyn loves getting near this tree too and I am scared she might get stung by bees if I let her play alone near it.

Nutritional Benefits of Cauliflower

cauliflower Pictures, Images and Photos

My parents did a good job in training me to eat vegetables. I grew up loving the vegetables. I can eat almost all kinds of veggies. One of my faves is the cauliflower, although I have never tried eating this while in the Philippines for it is too expensive for us but I love it! Aside from the pretty appearance of the vegetable it also taste kind of sweet. Not only that, it nutritional benefits that help fight diseases like prostate cancer and helps prevent anemia. Good thing I do home cooking a lot and once in a while I can just include cauliflower in our dish.

Below are some information that we can get by eating cauliflower. Read on and be informed.

Cauliflower is a vegetable that is many times overlooked. It is a member of the cruciferous family
, a family which is known for containing nutrients that fight against several diseases.

There are two main ingredients in cauliflower, and all of the cruciferous family, that are the main disease
fighters. These are indole-3-carbinol, or 13C, and the photonutrient sulforaphane. In research done at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, sulforaphane lowered the occurance of breast tumors in lab animals by almost 40%. Toxins that would normally damage the cells and turn cancerous, are swept out of the system by sulforaphane, preventing tumors before they begin. 13C works in concert with the sulforaphane by acting as an anti-estrogen. Estrogen in high levels is known to foster tumor growth, especially in the breasts and the prostate glands. 13c helps to lower the estrogen count, thus lowering the chances of tumor growth.

Cauliflower also contains vitamin C and folate. Folate helps the blood work more efficiently and is often recommended for preventing anemia. Folate is also essential for proper tissue growth and not getting enough can make you succeptible to many diseases down the road such as cancer and heart disease.

Tuna Kinilaw

Photo above is my kinilaw, the time I took this photo was when I was still throwing some of the ingredients in the bowl...

I've been craving for kinilaw (fish in vinegar with spices) these days, any kind of kinilaw as long as I can get to taste and smell the spices that is mixed with the fish. Since there is no fresh fish that I can make into kinilaw, I chose to use tuna to satisfy my craving. Good enough I went to my friend's house last Sunday and she drove me to the store where Tuna steaks are available. So nice of her!

Tuna steaks aren't cheap. It costs almost 8 dollars or more per steak yet I still bought 3 because I know it's gonna be a while before I can eat frozen tuna again. I just thaw it and make tuna kinilaw then I'm good to go!

The 6-Year Old Gift

The gift on the picture is six years old already waiting for its owner to be opened. This is a birthday gift for Paloma from my husband which was sent last '04 and it was returned to sender. I hope that someday when the young girl decides to meet her daddy she will know that her dad tried to communicate with her as well as her little sister. Proof are the gifts complete with package and label in which they were addressed to. Give us three years and by that time, Paloma will be 18, old enough to decide herself, old enough to realize that their daddy never forgotten them.

The Bachelor Finale

So the famous bachelor Jake Pavelka chose THE SPICY VIENNA over Sweet Tenley? I didn't like Vienna for him personally but who am I to dictate him who he wants to be with? I am just a silly show viewer who happened to dislike Vienna since the beginning. I really don't care about them now that the show is over. It's their life and they are none of my business. But my point of blogging this is that I just want to rant how blind the guy is. Idol ko pa naman siya.

I bet they will just be another unsuccessful couple who couldn't make it to the happy ending just like Matt and Shayne, Deanna and Jesse for they have different intentions as to why they joined the show. Jake, you could have chosen the WRONG GIRL!! I feel pity for you and I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow you'll tell the tabloid that you're no longer together eh!! It will be too late for you to know what you got is a FAKER!!!
