I realized I don't have that many coats to wear for the Winter. I only got less than five decent coats to be honest. I guess it's time for me to buy a new one for myself. I want something chic, warm and comfortable. This Old Navy fur trench coat is my prospect or the other one I've seen on Jc Penny. I am not in a rush buying a coat though since I am not gonna be here when cold days start, somehow hoping that I could buy this coat on SALE for me to save a few bucks.

As you know, I love to cook and as I was watching my cooking show on my new tv from www.bestchoicetv.com, I got the wonderful idea that for our anniversary this year, we should go somewhere to truly romantic and experience the best Italian cuisine there is; so we decided to fly to Tuscany.

Now Tuscany, Italy is known for it's historical, natural, and romantic atmosphere and for rich, home cooked Italian food, so it was the perfect place for us to go. When we arrived we decided to stay in a few of the charming 'bed and breakfast' hotels that are scattered throughout the countryside. By staying in one of these, we got to experience the rich, rural life in the country, but then we were also able to drive to any one of the cities in Tuscany, like Umberto, Valentina or Stefano, in less than an hour, and go sight-seeing.

We were really lucky in that we went into Piazza Santa Croce one day and found a Chocolate Fair going on for three days! The fair took place under huge tents and they had the best, most decadent treat ever, chocolate! They had chocolate from Florence and Tuscany, and then, there was also more chocolate from France, Spain and Belgium.

We enjoyed everything on our trip, but I think the Chocolate Fair took us over the top. Maybe we'll get to go back again someday.

Calcium Supplements

My husband has all kinds of dietary supplements. When it comes to maintaining general health condition, my husband is very good at that. Of almost five years living with him I don't remember him being seriously sick. Of course there have been days when he had colds but not to the point of going to the hospital, God forbid. One of the many supplements he's taking are calcium supplements. His vitamins are complete from A-Z each in separate bottle. While me, I only got a multivitamin for I am lazy taking different big capsules each day so I settle to just one kind of vitamin brand.

Making Up With Him

I WOWed my husband when I cooked him this big meal for his breakfast. This was during his day off, I sort of make it up with him every weekend because I don't usually cook his dinner when he comes home from work. For some reason I am not used to that ever since I came here to join him.

Here in this photo are scrambled eggs (3 pieces) with tomatoes and onions, two pieces of bread (toasted) and two eggrolls. Guess he must be hungry that time for he ate it all!

Hard Drive Recorder

Thanks to our hard drive recorder for we are able to watch the shows any time we want without worrying too much whether we gonna miss them or not. With the use of this device, we can set record when the show is on and let it sit in the recorder for days. How convenient is that?

Hungry But I don't Want To Cook

It is only ten o'clock in the morning and I am already starving. I am very hungry to the point of not wanting to cook anything for I am simply not in the mood to do anything in the kitchen right now. I got loads of things to do. But should I just let this hunger pass by?

I got a few things in my mind that I want to eat right now. They are Pinoy style corned beef and chicken noodle. They are a quick fix kind but that's all I can have for now although I really want to sip some really hot and good soup just like in the photos attached below. They were my dishes from the past days, I forgot posting them here. But anyway, let's drool over these yummy and tasty foodilicious here...

...... above is my shrimp sinigang..I used freshly squeezed lemon juice as an alternative to using a vinegar or tamarind soup base mix...and the second photo is my adobong pusit. For some people it is disgusting to look at...but not for Filipinos....for us it's the best!

Dating Reality Show

One of my favorite reality shows had its finale last Monday. Bachelors and Bachelorettes from the past seasons were there to win a freaking a quarter million dollars plus a chance of finding love. The winners of the Bachelor Pad reality show were Natalie and Dave. I bet they were so happy to split the money they've won. They have come a long way to earn their prize.

Before they were declared the couple winner, they were asked what they are going to do with the winning prize..I remember both of them to donate some to charity and they are not going to lie they will go for a vacation. I wish I'll know they take into consideration of looking at Outer Banks rentals for it is really nice over there. The superb accommodations are one of the reasons they should pick the place to stay for their vacation to enjoy the beach and other activities they want to do while in North Carolina.

Drying Of Skin

During my first year here in the United States my skin went very dry. I was battling with many different kinds of moisturizers for my body because it got so dry that it itches all over especially in the knuckles. After I got used to the weather here, my skin seemed to adapt the change in climate. Each season passed was no longer a burden to me since I found a product to apply on to my skin for total moisturization.

As for my face, I use face moisturizers that is intended or made for facial only. It's my only secret to have smooth face skin especially during the long Winter days when skin gets irritated and dry. For some, drying of skin is a constant battle for them inspite of the fact that they have been here longer than me.

Everything we put in our face has side effects to it. But we do it in the hope of curing the acne or blemishes we don't want seen in our face. Most people don't know using harsh chemicals on their skin can cause more damage to the already affected areas of the skin. If possible, we need to use natural acne products for our acne to lessen the severity of the problem. Although some natural products are a lot more but we do have to sacrifice our budget a little bit if we want to achieve a clearer and smoother skin.

Ready To Be Trained

Jadyn did such a great job last night for she used the toilet to do the number one. It was amazing! She wasn't crying nor whining. In fact, she enjoyed the whole time she sat on the toilet giggling and smiling. I guess she is ready to be potty trained now. All I gotta do is train her seriously so she will get used to sitting in adult's toilet. I tell you how expensive diapers can get even if we buy store brands, yet it cost us money.

Our little girl has her own mind now, once she peed twice in her diaper she'd voluntarily take it off and wear a new one. Most of the time she does the cleaning of her bottom with wipes no matter how stinky she gets..she manage to get rid of the dirty diaper. The next thing I know, she already cleaned her bottom and ready for a new one.

An Ex

.......after our relationship was over I realized that he was not the type of person I would like to be with forever. He had a huge dragon tattoo on his back, he smokes, drinks and he has got ear piercing...yucks! I am glad God saved me from falling from this man, otherwise I would be forever unhappy with him...

For fun I do experiment finding those old people I used to chat with when I just started looking for a man to marry. One man that made a significant heartbreak in me was Luke Kerr who was my first ever American boyfriend. I was only 18 back then and he was 27.

One day I just thought of searching for his name on FB and see if I could get a result of his name and voila! There are several people that have the same name as his but I look at the pictures to know who's who. I still remember his face pretty well so I am certain what I found was him.

The picture above was an ex-boyfriend who just ended our relationship too quick with no valid reason. I did it just for fun though. I have no plan of establishing any communication with him anymore. I was just really curious if he was still alive and he is!

Been Having Trouble With My Free Hosting

I don't know what is up with blogger lately. I am afraid it's gonna crash on me one day. All of my blogs are hosted free on blogger and lately I noticed a glitch to it. When I open my dashboard it wouldn't show a thing except "Unavailable service" message in a clear white background. I know I should have done getting aweb hosting service before. If something bad happen to all my blogs, there is no one to be blame but myself. Oh Lord! I haven't decided yet whether to subscribe for a hosting service or continue using this free one. Skin Problem

I was browsing photos of my cousin on Facebook and saw how she became into a young beautiful woman. She has the brain beauty and looks but the only thing I see a flaw in her is her face. She is having acne problems and that is very visible even just on the pictures. I wonder if she ever used best acne face wash she can find in the Philippines to lessen the breakouts? She asked me one time if I can buy here a certain acne cream which named the brand and I found it is not available or sold in the US market. I didn't want to disappoint her but I really couldn't find the BB cream she was talking about.

Don't Forget The Important Dates

Wedding comes only once in a person's life. I do believe in a happy ending. I also believe there is a perfect partner for everyone to find. I don't believe in divorce either. When I was still searching for a lifetime mate I was very picky. I told myself that I wouldn't want to settle for anything less. Why would I? I sacrificed a lot, internet back then was expensive and I had no job to finance my internet usage so it is just right to find that perfect man for me so there will be no regret in the end.

What I found is more than what I've asked for, thank goodness. I couldn't believe I am this blessed. When it was time for us to get married, I handed out several save the date cards to my friends,family, relatives and people I know who became a part of my life during my endeavor. I couldn't be happier when my husband and I finally tied the knot. For I knew that was the beginning of our journey together as a married couple.

My Pick

So in my previous entry, I asked several friends online whether which dress to buy because I can't decide on my own. Some say that the blue maxi dress is nice and others say I should pick the multicolor halter type since I love the cleavage style of the dress. I follow what my heart says. I pick the multicolor one because it has some elegance in it, I love the color and most of all I have a nice feeling about it that it's gonna fit very well.

This dress will be worn by me during our 6th wedding anniversary next month which I so look forward to. Yes, it has been 6 years since we got married, feels like yesterday because we are still both happy and smiling. What a nice life I have.

Junior and Senior Promenade in high school is one of the biggest events most teenagers look forward to because this is the only day they can possibly dance or go for a date with their crushes in school. I talked to my brother last night who just came home from working overseas. I asked him what are his gifts for the family because I don't want to buy them something that he already gave them. He just said he gave them a t-shirt each of them and a thousand peso each too. That is good and how kind of him to do that.

Simply Vera Wang Wristlet

How happy I am today for I finally purchased this cute wristlet that I have been wanting to get. I need a new one that is reliable and won't give me worries when I use it. The current wristlet I am using is so cheap that it could come off the handle whenever it feels like coming off. What if I use it and one thing I know it's not in my hand anymore? My New Kitchen Counter

It was love at first sight when I walked into my house; the kitchen was another story. I signed the contract and immediately started kitchen shopping. This was four years ago when granite was (and still is I guess) the must-have household update.
The entire new kitchen process took about 3 months, from planning the layout to completion. My favorite part was choosing the counters. I walked a vast warehouse of giant slabs of granite, up and down aisles and aisles of it. There were so many to choose from but I was drawn to darker colors with lighter accents. I came upon a slab named 'flash green,' which actually looks almost black but has swirling grey/green inclusions and some light silvery flecks. It was definitely good that when I thought kitchen counters sears was what came to mind.

The granite contractor came to my house and drew a template of the counter when the new cabinets were in place. There were some details to iron out such as how many holes for faucets and the size of the sink but it was a simple process. About five days later the granite guys arrived with my newly cut and polished slabs.

Installation took a couple of hours and couldn't have been easier (of course, I didn't have to lift it.) The granite counter makes such a statement in my kitchen, it's natural beauty is so eye catching but not at all flashy, four years and I still love it.

Happy and Sad Faces

It is interesting how our little girl can change her facial expressions from extreme emotions to a super jolly and happy one. I took these photos of her in two different situations. The first one below is of her sulking in the closet when I stopped her from eating too much shrimp paste. The second one is of her showing her happy face with her new clown doll given to her by Jean.

I received a nice compliment from Jean when we visited her last Friday. She was saying I have dark and smooth skin. Well, as for my darkness, it is my natural skin color and I get even more darker during Summer. Tired And Sleepy

Ancient Pictures

I found tons and tons of interesting pictures of my husband's family from my father in-laws boxes. I wonder how or where am I going to put them all since I only got 3 empty albums to put them in. I tell you these pictures aren't just like any other pictures, they are VERY ANCIENT dated 1800s or older. There are pictures of my FIL's great great grandmother and other relatives. I even saw pictures of people whose name I only saw buried at the cemetery in Benicia, a lot of them my husband doesn't even know.

Looking at those very old pictures give me a creepy feeling. When I opened two albums that my FIL compiled before he passed away, I said to myself, "MAKAGABA NAMAN NI MGA PICTURA DILI JUD NI NAKU LAKDAN KAY HAWD KA KARAAN". It was so nice of FIL for doing the albums, through them I was able to take a glimpse of how his family looks like and mind you people, most members of his family were very well-educated and my husband's grandfather was a doctor.

It's cool to have those pictures. They are like antiques and should be properly kept. Those people were long gone and the treasured pictures we have is such a beautiful thing to have.

Moving Is A Tough Job To Do

I have only experienced moving once in my entire life and I don't want to do it again for at least ten years. My husband has been moving a couple times already since he came from an Air Force Family. Back when he was a kid, they moved a lot from states to states and outside of the country. And when he got older and separated from his family, I am certain he had moved a number of times all his life. The last one he did is moving from a small rental house at El Campo to this house with his family in tow. He said the same thing too when he finally settled down saying that he wouldn't move again in ten years.

Moving is a tough job to do. It sucks out a lot of our energy lifting heavy things loading them up to the moving van and when you get to the destination you are the one who will do the unloading as well. We did the job mostly to save us some money. We only hired a Moving Company to take all my father in-law's stuff out of the storage, mostly were huge and heavy cabinets.

When hiring a moving company make sure that what you hire won't rip you off. It isn't the name that can guarantee you for safe moving but it's the people working behind it. Hiring a company whose name is already established can be expensive for you are paying their name too. You know what I mean?
