At Home With My Family

In this cold dark night all we could do is be ourselves, do the things we like to do. I'm here in my computer, Jadyn is going round and round in the bedroom listening to her dada's loud music and hubby is working on the doors, putting them up and installing new henge. Times like these should be appreciated for we are all home united as a family.

Though it is kind of slow night for me, somehow thankful enough for my lovely family being together. Nothing is more important in this world for me but seeing my family happy and healthy all the time.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs

I had so much fun watching this movie titled Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs last night. Even my baby stayed with us until the movie ended. She seldom stay awake for the entire time the movie is playing but last night she made it through. I thought the movie was so cool for it rained with lots and lots of food through the invention of this little gadget sent up above.

As the movie's tag line : Prepare to be served. That alone should give you an idea of what the movie is all about.

meatballs. Pictures, Images and Photos

Synopsis here:

In 2009, Columbia Pictures' and Sony Pictures Animation's "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" will be the most delicious event since macaroni met cheese. Inspired by the beloved children's book, the film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. Bill Hader will voice Flint Lockwood, a young inventor who dreams of creating something that will improve everyone's life. Anna Faris takes on the role of Sam Sparks, a weathergirl covering the phenomenon who hides her intelligence behind a perky exterior. James Caan plays Tim Lockwood, Flint's technophobic father. Andy Samberg plays Brent, the town bully who has plagued Flint since childhood. Bruce Campbell plays Mayor Shelbourne, who figures out that Flint's invention can put the town, and more importantly himself, on the map. Mr. T plays the by-the-rules town cop Earl Devereaux, and Tracy Morgan takes on the role of Earl's rule-breaking son, Cal. [D-Man2010]

The timeless tale has been adapted from Ron and Judi Barrett's book, which illustrates a world where giant pancakes and pasta fall from the sky as a scientist tries to solve world hunger. However, things go terribly wrong when excess amounts of food overload cities and towns. [D-Man2010]

Long Walk Today

We just got home from an hour-long walk around the neighborhood. My baby fell asleep while on the jogger while I was trying to find our way back home. I didn't know I went too far beyond from the familiar streets. At first I only turned around one block from our house then went to see the pond and the ducks.

I really didn't plan of going too far and decided to go just another block then come back home. To my surprise, I found an entry way at the end of the street we went to and saw the repair shop ahead so I went on and glad to see the highway. After spending few minutes of walking along the highway, I went inside the village with the idea in mind of going back home as soon as possible. I didn't know what happen afterwards, perhaps I have gone two more blocks away for our walk took longer than I expected. We were lost for a while and gladly I did not get out of EV again. Finally, I saw our street sign and I was happy knowing that we are on our way home to rest and put my baby to bed.

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

We watched this movie last night with my husband and I thought it was superb. I can't stop thinking about how tragic the movie ending was and somehow hoping the movie was longer for I wasn't satisfied how they ended the movie just like that. This is about friendship of two different races, German and a Jew which is shown in the picture which in the end they both died together.

I can somehow relate to the movie as it involves human emotion about hatred, war, friendship and hope. To make a better understanding of this movie, try to read the synopsis below and might as well rent the DVD, watch it for yourself. I can guarantee you, you will love it.

"Lines may divide us, but hope will unite us"

Through the lens of an eight-year-old boy largely shielded from the reality of World War II, we witness a forbidden friendship that forms between Bruno, the son of Nazi commandant, and Schmuel, a Jewish boy held captive in a concentration camp. Though the two are separated physically by a barbed wire fence, their lives become inescapably intertwined. The imagined story of Bruno and Shmuel sheds light on the brutality, senselessness and devastating consequences of war from an unusual point of view. Together, their tragic journey helps recall the millions of innocent victims of the Holocaust.

She Is Two

For those who don't know, my baby just turned two last January 16 at 7:35 p.m. I really can't believe I have a two-year old baby now. Oh no amazingly how time flies so fast.

Before I know it, Jadyn will be going to school and in the years to come, she'll be noticing "BOYS" at her school. God forbid! I don't want that to happen yet but I don't think I can stop my girl from growing.

That is how life is all about, you give birth, the baby will grow, start a school life, making boyfriends, get a job and hmmmm make a family of their own.

Hey, wait a minute?? What am I talkin' about here? She is only two but then my mind seems to be so advanced.

American Idol Audition Is What I'm Into Right Now

The audition part of American Idol is what I love the most that is why I never missed a single show when it started. I'm watching it right now as in KARON and really I'm bursting out to laugh! Some people have just the guts to audition even if they know where they stand lolz!

Shameless as they are and yet add spice on the show! Wewwwwwww AI rocks! In my opinion, AI audition is the second best thing! Funnier or a lot funnier than AFV is what it is all about. Now can you blame me for liking the audition part of Idol??? hmmm..

What's Up With Me?

Nothing is up with me or with my family here. I have not been updating my blogs as I used to as I only post something when there are opportunities to make. Regardless of the thoughts I want to write here but when laziness struck me, I would just let my blog go idle. For some reason I am only motivated to write when opps are given to me. Clueless as I am, opps seem aloof these days inspite of the fact that most of the bloggers are being flooded with plenty to make.

Well, so much ranting. Let me just write a quick note telling my readers/visitors thank you for peeking into me today, yesterday and the past days. Oh ciao now folks gotta start reading this Twilight book that my husband gave to me last night. Duh, I may be too late to start reading the first book but I'm gonna go ahead and read it anyway... who knows this can create a miracle on me to learn to love reading books.

Got Things To Do

My plan for today is to clean the tub and counter sink in the second bathroom (it's what we are currently using) for it has been like 2 weeks since I cleaned it. After that I wanna go ahead and clean/paint the cabinets in the master bath. This is what my husband assigned me to do and until now I haven't started it yet. Laziness struck me the past couple of days that's why. I really want to get over with this thing so I can move on to other jobs in the house like starting to paint in the living room.

Geezzzz honestly speaking, I'm afraid that my husband would demand me to paint the whole cabinets and drawers both in two bathrooms. I dread to do it as I know it requires a lot of patience and time to do those things. Cross fingers though that he would only want me to paint cabinets in the master bath...

She Acts Differently

We woke up in a good mood this morning. My baby was good, she did not whine nor tried to wake me up. She was just happy and talking babyish talks and that puts me in a smile mood too. Unlike when her dada is here, she would try to get our attention by crying nonsense and that pisses us off early morning. I don't know why she acts differently when her dada isn't around?

Whatever reasons she has, i don't think it is fair for her to bother us every morning while we are still in the middle of nice/bad dream. When she is awake, she also wants other people around her to be awake too. SIGH.

Heart Melting

My husband isn't here tonight. We will be left sleeping alone in our cozy bed without the man of the house. That is ok though, we will be alright. I just have to accept that there are times when the hubby needs to be away to check on his father 5 hours away. Anyways, we communicate through text and his last text for tonight is below.

lewis sanborn: Checking in my room now. I love my wife. And baby girl.

This is too personal to share but what can I do? He just made my heart melts for telling me that he loves me and our baby. He still loves me despite of my flaws and shortcomings. Even if I keep breaking his things, he can still say those magic words in text or right in front of me. Thank God for such a wonderful husband I have. Now enough of this ka dramahan, we shall go to bed and hoping to wake up alright, feeling good tomorrow. CIAO everybuddy.

I Wonder

...if my husband feels the void I felt when he walked out the door to go see his father in San Antonio and left us behind? It is such a weird feeling knowing that we're not gonna have our knight for 2 nights, meaning just only me and my baby sleeping in bed.... hmmm...

Don't Like Going There...Anymore

Two sleeps more left and it's gonna be my dreadful ortho visit for I know what's gonna happen once I step out from their clinic, awful pain in my mouth for five days. I don't even want to think about it now. I don't like going their anymore either...just awful.

No matter how cute the orthodontist is but his cuteness doesn't help me at all when I'm suffering. Ah basta I'm not looking forward to visiting Dr. Mik's office again oh please when is this treatment gonna be over?

Health Benefits of Olives

One of my husband's favorite is the olives. He loves to eat it with chips, cheese and other sorta American snacks at night time. I tried this before and would like to learn to love eating olives but I don't understand its taste.

Anyways, olives are most loved by Americans to put in their salad or eat it alone. It may be weird tasting fruit for me but it also has its health benefits.

My Longest Nap Ever

Today I hit the record for having the longest nap ever. It took me almost two hours in bed and just got up moments ago. If not because of my Jadyn forcing me to get up, I could have been sleeping until now. Geeezz I overslept and I don't like it. Now I don't feel like doing anything, my body is tired, eyes are still sleepy and most of all I feel real lazy. Anyways, I didn't expect to take a nap this long for I know what's gonna happen afterwards.

Furthermore, it is painfully cold that may contributed to my beautiful afternoon nap. I kind of shaking my head right now for I can't remember when was the last time I had slept this long. I planned of vacuuming the rug here in the t.v room but since it's already dark and we don't have good lighting inside, might as well leave it for tomorrow and finish off my champorado so the baby can have something warm in her stomach.

Putting A Blanket

I just went outside to take care of the plants. I brought some of the potted plants inside to ensure that they are gonna be safe for today/tonight's harsh temperature. It's gonna be the coldest and I don't want leaving my dear plants out and die. Same goes with my roses. Unfortunately, I can't bring them in as I transplanted them to the ground last week. So the least I could do is cover them with a blanket/towel and crossing fingers that they will survive until the season gets better. I love planting very much and for that I put my heart in taking care of them.

Health Benefits Of Asparagus

asparagus photo

My husband, baby and I all love eating asparagus. It started when we found out how to cook it well and taste it's natural sweetness to our taste buds. We almost stopped buying this vegetable for we didn't know how to cook it until we learned that it can be broiled or grilled in a tin foil. From then on, we buy it everytime we go grocery shopping and we just so lovin' it!

I heard so much about asparagus and the many health benefits it brings to our body. I did my own search on the internet and below are just few we can get out of eating asparagus;

  • It is high in vitamin K and Folate
  • Eat asparagus when you are pregnant or thinking about conceiving – because of it being high in folic acid it helps prevent birth defects such as spina bifida
  • Great for your heart
  • Helps w*Helps menstrual cramps with fertility problems
  • Great for your gastrointestinal tract and your colon
  • Helps menstrual cramps
  • Great food to help treat depression
  • Has been known to increase the success rate of chemo therapy
  • Is considered a diuretic which means it is a good anti-inflammatory – best for arthritis, asthma rheumatism, and even water retention…PMS
  • Help get rid of warts
  • Helps detoxify your body
  • Add more asparagus to your diet to lover cholesterol

Started Out Busy

I have not had a chance to drink my morning chocolate drink nor swishing my mouth for a more cleaner and fresher breath just because I did the very important postings first before others. Hopefully, I'll be freed from all these and start my morning routine.

On the other hand, I like it this way too, kind of busy morning for I am making few bucks out of this. It's been so penniless of me for the past week for there was nothing to post about for paid blogging. Holidays are over, I am glad. Now blogging back to normal and no more homesickness.
