I Made Puto Maya Today

Puto Maya cooking today was a success I shall say. For the longest time ganiha pako ka puto that tastes really good to my taste buds. Jadyn loved it and ate half of the small bowl as her lunch and supper at 5 p.m. Looking forward for tomorrow's morning snack to match it with a very hot "sikwati" or cacao drink, whatcha call it!

This kind of filipino delicacy reminds me of good childhood memories when my mother or grandmother brought us to a small cafeteria after church to have some snack of puto maya and sikwati. Back then the cost of a small cup of sikwati was only 1.00 peso and a small platito of puto was only 2.00 pesos. After that delicious snack we had, the children were all happy heading home with full stomach from that simple treat to the cafeteria.
