Two Mary Annes

I am glad to know I am flying back home I made quite a few accomplishments in this trip of mine. I met a few selected friends here in the Philippines who I treasure so much. Two of the buddies closest to my hearts are the two Mary Annes I have known for a while. The first two photos are of me, Jadyn, little sister Alex, Mary Anne Thompson - author of Mary Anne's Musing. I met her last December of 2011. Sorry for the late posting about our eyeball because internet in Davao isn't accessible.

She is a fine woman who happened to be Jadyn's angel when we were there. She was patiently waiting at the doctor's clinic with us for the whole 2 freaking hours just to have my Jadyn checked by the doctor. I appreciate all the help and concern you've shown to my kid, babay!

........ the third photo is of me and Mary Anne and her son Matthew. She was my classmate in UHA Caregiver last 2005. There were times when we lost contact with each other but with social networking sites and the power of YAHOO MESSENGER we got our communication back. It was nice to see her again and her family after parting ways since we finished the course.

Sunny

It is going to be our last day to be warm and sunny for this week. Tomorrow we'll be back to wearing jammies, socks and jackets inside the house for the cold front is coming. There some chance of snow according to the weather forecast and I don't like the idea of being cold again. Such a hassle for me for it is when the time my knuckles and soles cracked until it bleeds. I hope the coolness of temperature would only last for one day for we are planning of going to Dallas Arboretum this weekend. It would nice to go there with a beautiful weather so we can enjoy the pretty scenery of the garden. Anyways, sharing you a picture of me, Annie and our babies one sunny afternoon just so you can see how much sun we have been getting lately here in Texas.

Offline

I had a blast with real people today at our house. It was a fun day for us, we ate a lot, lots of salty ginamos, native vegetable stew, pinakbet and buwad eh that filled our stomach. I am so glad I was able to get away from the internet for one whole day and just hang with people whom I comfortable to be with offline. The day had ended with lots of pure smiles on our faces and Shewi and I just couldn't had enough but she had to go home, her husband came to pick her up but I promised her that she can come back anytime she wants to and do the sing a-l-o-n-g together. Cool people in real world is what I prefer rather than online with dull colors. Thank God for them, they made my day.

Old Photos Of Our Friendship

Looking back at our old photos make me wanna admire our old body figures. Back then ,we were skinny and not having to worry if we ate too much as we were only almost like twigs. Of course this was before our babies were born.

First photo was taken in the park near Rose's place, year 2006 I guess. On second photo, us again... the friends (Annie, Rose and yours truly) taken during Christmas party at Emilyn's house last 2007. I was 8 months pregnant with my Jadyn at that time that is why I look kind of round in that picture. Hayyy I miss those good 'ol days shared with my friends in Fort Worth.

What a fortune having someone whom I felt like a family here in this strange cold land, America. I got two of them namely Annie and Rose. They are both bisaya like me and bisaya really get along well. Rose are just like our mother, she give advice, upfront, make every occasion possible to happen and most of all willing to help the best she can just to make us feel accepted and loved. This alone is a gift of God, friendship, that is. Photos above are of me in red sweater with Rose and the other picture is of my friend and Annie's baby.

Old Photo of Our Friendship

Rose, the one in the middle of this picture asked me of my multiply account because she is looking for lost photos of us and this is what she found in my account. A nice old photo of us three, Annie, Rose and yours truly taken last Christmas of 2007. Back then we were still "virgin" hot looking gals. I was 11 months pregnant of my baby at that time so my face was kind of bloated waaaaa hehehe but despite of that, I honestly say that these three ladies in the picture look hot! Do you agree?

Nature Hike

I got to hang out with my DFW friends yesterday and it was a fun day for all five of us including the two babies. I am glad we were able to do some walks to the park later in the evening as the sun wasn't so hot anymore and had a small picnic over there. After pigging out at the buffet restaurant earlier that day, we were just delighted to be able to at least burn some calories that we put that day and over the last days of being a couch potato.

Next time again folks and hopefully Rose won't be too busy with her second job so we can still see and hang out together as usual.

The Pinay I Met In San Antonio

It was my husband who first discovered that there is a filipina working in Freedom House where my FIL lives. He saw her and approached her asking if she's a filipina and I was thinking, it would be nice to see this girl and meet her.

And yes I did meet her during our last visit and it was our second meeting already the other night. She is nice and for that we had fun time talking since she is also bisaya from Aurora, Zamboanga! 'Till next time again Karen.. kita kits when we have a chance!

A Friend's Visit

Genelyn and her husband Ron from Washington state came over to visit us tonight. I told her to wait for me in the Philippines so we can meet each other once again but she couldn't. She was too excited to join her husband in America and so she flew just before I could make it there.

They had an important business to do down South and since they are in Texas, they were so nice to drive up here and see me also to give me her cross stitch project she ought to give me long time ago. I appreciate the time you spent driving Genelyn and Ron just to see us here in North Texas. I am glad to have you here in our place earlier even just for a short while.

Nagwala Sa Mall Isang Araw

We,the wives of white men deserve to have a happy day out too.My only happiness is to be with my filipina friends and seeing a big crowd in the mall.Since it was holiday the other day,BIG SALE is expected in the mall after that.

That is what we did yesterday.Me and Annie and the baby went out to shop,Rose couldn't go with us for she was working until 6 pm.We went store by store that has big sale sign.After that,as it was time for Rose to get off from work,we headed to an Italian Restaurant for dinner as we all agreed to it. So that was it for our Saturday.

Being Silly

I miss being silly around friends.It just feel good being yourself with the people that have the same personality as you do.I miss the Philippines so much and hang around with old folks again.I so looking forward to the day I can finally go back where I grew up and show them what I got,my precious pretty baby.

Almost all of my friends and my family are anticipating for our arrival next year.It's gonna be another 6 months before we can fly but I just try to forget it for a while..then tomorrow we are gonna be there..

Mother's Day Celebration A Success

My local friends,Rose and Annie as well as the one that were from N.Carolina,Maureen and Jancil were with me on Mother's day.We went to hear the mass first then headed to our fave Pinoy resto and strolled in the mall.It was our sort of M.D celebration.Picture taking here and there is what we could do. All in all we had a blast on that day and always 'twas such a nice day to be with my good friends

Meet the beautiful people in Texas.I am the one with top white and blue,my baby is the one that is bald and is running 4 months in 5 days. The dirty blond girl is from North Carolina,Jancil daughter of Maureen visiting Rose the one holding my baby.

Don't you think we look pretty? The babies are more prettier for they are half Filipina and American.

It was a pleasure to be around with new friends for 2 days.I don't know when they're gonna be back here so we'll create a solid bonding again.
