It's Been A Long Time

It feels like it's been ages since I hang out with Filipina circle of friends. I missed them, I missed the chitchats and most of all I missed being with people who make me laugh and talk things about our lives as mothers and being in this far away land.

One of my friends on Facebook asked if we can gather in our house but I declined instead suggested to just let the gathering in her house as usual. Right now, we are trying to decide when will be the perfect day and time for that small gathering. For sure, it won't be forever to decide when. With that being said, I would like to bring her a wine gift as an appreciation of her friendship. There will be plenty of Filipino foods serve on her table so a bottle of
wine or two is perfect for ladies like us that don't drink hard liquor.

Waking Up To The Smell Of Coffee

One morning I woke up to the aromatic smell of coffee being brewed in our very own kitchen. I knew exactly who did it, my husband. He is the coffee drinker of this house. And no matter how I like to taste the coffee I just couldn't do it. I know what will happen to me if I force myself to drink or take a few sips of it, I would stay up all night for two nights. Yes, it is like a drug that is so strong that keeps my senses awake for two freaking nights. I would say coffee is not just for me. Another thing why I can't drink coffee is that it's bitterness, I just don't like its taste unless of course I put plenty of sugar in it which can be bad for me. So better not do anything stupid than have myself suffer if I get myself tempted to drink coffee.

Since the husband loves drinking coffee every morning, I would love to buy him Lavazza Coffee Beans so he can try to differentiate it than what he usually buys at the store. Lavazza is a company that only selects the best coffee beans the world has to offer. Roasting to perfection which is lighter than the flavor most people accustom to from Starbucks that allows for more of flavor of the bean and less of the bitterness to shine through.

In Moderation

Too much of everything is bad. Same as drinking liquor or any types of alcoholic beverages. Drinking in moderation is acceptable. I, myself is keeping a distance to any types of wine or anything that contains alcohol in it. I could take a sip or two of wine but that's it. Apart from wine, there are only a few good things my stomach can take when it comes to beverages are water, juice, some soda and this very thing I have in mind that is colorful, taste so good and can be found in almost all grocery stores that I have forgot its name.

Drinking alcohol I think depends how used or exposed the person to taking or swallowing it down to their system. Some get drunk easy, others don't no matter how much alcohol volume they take. I remember watching the first episode on the very first night the Bachelors were introduced to Ashley of the Bachelorette in Ashley's season, there was this guy who happens to be a liquor distributor as his way of living, he went to the cocktail party only to get drunk and snore later on. Such a loser, he was sent home by the Bachelorette before he could meet or get to know her.

Tava Tea

I prefer to drink tea rather than coffee. Coffee don't bring any good to me. It makes me insane for two days and two nights without sleep. Whereas drinking tea like tava tea for it has a unique blend of proven slimming teas and is 12 times stronger than green tea. I would love to have it after giving birth so I get slim easy. I know what to expect after having a baby, I get big and that is just normal but I'd love to lose weight right away so a tava tea can be a good drink to have.
